Levitra Professional Side Effects
Levitra Professional is available in orange tablets with the "BAYER" cross debossed on one side of each tablet and the amount of vardenafil contained in it on the other, in milligrams. Tablets may contain 2.5mg, 5mg, 10mg and 20mg of monohydrochloride salt of vardenafil - a potent phosphodiestrase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. Its action lies in blocking PDE5 - a natural enzyme, which keeps the smooth muscle of the penis in tension and therefore reduces blood flow to the corpus cavernosa (spongy bodies in the penis, which are filled with blood during erection).
Levitra Professional is an advanced version of Levitra, and it is famous for its powerful stimulating effects, including, but not limited to erection improvement. This version of the drug enjoys a growing demand in various parts of the world. Vardenafil is a prescription medicine, and it should be administered as part of a complex treatment course, under the direction of a qualified physician.
Although Levitra Professional has been reformulated a lot in such a way as to reduce any risk of adverse reactions, the possibility of unpleasant side effects still cannot be ruled out. Most common side effects include low blood pressure and related symptoms: dizziness, faintness, nausea, digestion disorders, and even heart insufficiency. There have been reports about prolonged erections and vision and hearing problems. Some patients experience back pain. In some cases, adverse reactions occur due to poor tolerability to the drug's ingredients.
Vardenafil is known to exert a strong hypotensive action, especially if used in combination with other drugs, such as organic nitrates and nitrites, alpha-blockers, CYP3A4 inhibitors, and other medicines used for treatment of impotence. Concomitant use of vardenafil with these medicines can cause a sudden and dramatic lowering of blood pressure, which may result in serious consequences, like strokes or heart attacks. Therefore, it is absolutely crucial that you see your healthcare provider before using vardenafil.
As a rule, side effects result from increased plasma levels of vardenafil. Thus, CYP3A4 inhibitors block natural metabolizing enzymes and thus hamper vardenafil clearance. Chronic hepatic insufficiency may also lead to poor clearance and hence increased plasma concentrations of the substance. Vision problems and poor hearing are probably due to the inhibition by the drug of natural enzymes responsible for the functioning of these organs.
